Protein wants to Pump You Up
Pumping Up with Protein
The journey of getting older doesn’t have to mean getting weaker, too.
But go just one week without enough protein and your muscles could be on the path to punyville.
Protein Power

But what you eat matters, too. That’s what a recent study of older men and women revealed. Those who went for a week without adequate protein started to show early signs of muscle deterioration.

I think most elderly people lack protein because of the food restrictions they get from them the ailments they have. Without those ailments, I’m sure they’ll enjoy eating high protein diet.

Thanks for your comments, Pat. A big problem is that many of the elderly cannot afford to buy protein foods. Many are on a restricted income and cannot afford to eat healthy. It’ so important for family and friends to look in on their elderly family and friends, treat them to a sack full of meats, beans and vegetables.
