Doctors Are Paying For Advice

by

Why are more and more parents choosing not to vaccinate?

Doctors are paying to find out. For $50, Doctors in a few select communities are putting on their best ‘bedside manner’ faces to find out why parents are foregoing the usual slate of vaccinations for their children.

The number one reason? Fear of their children coming down with Autism.

Many parents around the country are second guessing the almost-automatic vaccination program set out for their children. Before children turn six, they are recommended to receive ten vaccinations six booster shots. No wonder parents are asking questions.

Although I do not have children, I probably would get them vaccinated. Afterall, millions of my peers, as well as myself, were vaccinated and there wasn’t an overwhelming influx of Austic children in the 60s and 70s.

Vaccinations aren’t just for children. When I was taking a secondary statistics course in 2007, the graduate school requested some vaccinations, and due to my transplant, was barred from receiving them, so I was given a medical discharge from them. There are exceptions to every rule, and I’m sure there are children for whom vaccinations are not in their best interest. Maybe some parents out there can share what medical conditions would prohibit children from receiving the usual slate of vaccinations? Religious convictions aside (thats too big of a territory for this blog), what would medically prevent a child from receiving vaccinations? Cancer? HIV?
